what a first letter can carry

The more of this the first message carries, the shorter the thread. None of it is required and a one-line question is welcome too.

  • The families or the pieces, by name if you have them
  • The room or the terrace, and roughly how much of it you are filling
  • A plan, a sketch on paper or a photograph of the wall
  • The city the furniture is going to, for the freight
  • A date you are working towards, if there is one

no cart, no showroom

There is no cart on this site and no card is taken on it. Nothing ships from a warehouse, because nothing is built before the order.

There is no showroom to visit in the United States. Samples of the covers and the finishes are sent by post when a job is far enough along to need them, and that is arranged on the same thread.

How an outdoor seat is built up, from the braid outwards. Drawn to be read, not to scale, and carrying no numbers: the factory publishes no dimensions, and the ones that matter come back with the quote.

the question we will ask back

Whatever the first message says, the reply asks the same thing: where the piece stands. The drawing beside this text shows why. Each layer in it is a grade, and the grade that suits a sheltered loggia is not the one that suits an exposed deck.

Answering that once, at the start, is what keeps the rest of the thread short.

This form reaches the same inbox as the address above.

After you send it A person reads it, not a robot, and the reply comes by email within one business day. It carries the covers and the finishes that are open on those pieces, the lead time the workshop gives, and the freight to your city. Nothing is charged on this site and there is no cart anywhere on it.

The city, and the room or the terrace. It sets the freight and the covers.

Families and finishes, and a date if you are working to one. A floor plan or a photograph can follow by email.

Your address is used to answer you and for nothing else. No list, no third party.
